I can not believe this took me so long, but I am FINALLY getting around to sharing my new classroom here in Edina, MN. It was a nightmare moving all of my things from my old school, and cleaning out this room before I moved in.... but I was SO happy with the final result!
Here are some photos of my classroom right before open house!
This was the welcome table right outside my classroom. I had families sign in, check their child's transportation information and make sure they are signed up for a conference with me. In my district, the Kindergarten students do not start until the second day of school and we spend the day conferencing with families one-on-one making sure both the parents and students are feeling comfortable and ready for the 1st day!
This is the sign on top of my cubbies right when students walk in the door. Both the frame AND letters were found in the Target Dollar Spot in August!
These folders contain EVERYTHING out parents need to know about Kindergarten.
Inside I put:
-Our sharing schedule
-Our star kid schedule
-Seesaw Sign up QR Codes
-Kindergarten A-Z Packet
-Night Before Kindergarten Gift for students
- Maker Morning Info
-Literacy Packet Information
Here is a panoramic view of our classroom
My husband made this BEAUTIFUL table for me this summer! I am in LOVE! It is amazing for conferencing with parents, prepping projects and for letting my kiddos have creative-artistic fun!! The art caddy in the middle was found from Zulily. (it was advertised as a make-up organizer).
My favorite tradition and the biggest hit at open house was the balloons! I the balloons and glow sticks (attached to the bottom) from the Dollar Tree and wrote each kiddo's name on them with dotty letters! Parents AND Kindergarteners LOVE this easy and fun gift!
This is me in my tiny car trying to fit and drive with 24 balloons in my car... LOL!
Here are my adorable cubbies with labels from Learning in Wonderland. You can find them HERE!
Here are a few more photos of the room!
I will post more photos soon!
I hope you enjoy!
